NCBA CLUSA and Co-ops Vote have been excited about participation so far in the Twin Pines Voter Project. Across the country, participants are engaging with candidates and registering member-owners and community members to vote. For example, Flat Iron Cooperative in Bellows Falls, Vermont, has hosted eight candidate meet-and-greets during its first six months of being open!

Last year, community partners, such as co-ops, were critical in helping more than 200,000 people register to vote or update their registrations, according to the National Voter Registration Day 2021 annual report. Along with libraries, veteran organizations, government offices and high schools, co-ops made up about one-third of all community partners, joining sponsors like Google, Facebook, MTV Target and Spotify.

To help you set up an event on National Voter Registration Day, Co-ops Vote and Twin Pines have created a customized link to show the strength of the co-op community participating in #NVRD22.

You can learn more about hosting a virtual or in-person registration drive on the new “Events” section of vote.coop.
